Discover Your Flexible Identity

The role of a Professional Advocate Lead often comes with questions like, “Am I doing this right?” and from our experience, many people put enormous pressure on themselves.

Together, we’ll explore the idea that there is no single “right” way to be a Lead. Just as being a “nurse” is a flexible and evolving identity, so too is your role as a leader and advocate.

Through engaging discussions and reflective activities, you’ll leave with a deeper understanding of yourself, your journey, and how to embrace the fluidity of this identity with confidence and self-compassion.

Practical Tools to Empower You and Your Teams

This workshop will also equip you with practical coaching tools to bring back to your teams of Professional Advocates. Helping individuals and teams make sense of their identity is a key skill to work at an advanced level in supervision and coaching.

In this workshop you will learn how to explore concepts such as the “current self”, the “feared self” and the “desired future self,” a powerful approach to addressing imposter feelings and self-doubt. We’ll also cover the concept of “team identity” and how to foster collective strength and alignment with groups of caregivers working in high pressured roles.

Testimonials

Workshop feedback:

The session today was incredible. I've been feeling slightly demotivated at work and networking in the session, being provided with tools and having the element of safety has been extremely uplifting.

    Lead PNA, workshop participant

I will definitely use the tools used today in future practice as a PNA and share these with the PNA team.

      Lead PNA, workshop participant

I had no idea how valuable I would find today and how much it was needed on my part. Not only have I learned the use of some fantastic tools to use in practice, but I feel a real release having had the opportunity to be vulnerable and honest in a safe space with people who resonate/understand.

        Lead PNA, workshop participant

Really enjoyed the workshop. Very helpful to share experiences & ideas with other leads. Great to be able to take away some practical tools to use in PNA work. Thank you to Nathan for role modelling such a compassionate facilitation style, creating a very safe space.

          Lead PNA, workshop participant

The workshop was a great opportunity to connect with other PNA’s led by Nathan who gave us just the right amount of steer for our discussions but allowed space for us to find out more from each other. Sharing what we have learned so far, our wins and what we would like to do more of has been really helpful for me to think about where I would like to take the PNA role in our organisation. Thanks Nathan, an inspiring session.
