We are excited to bring you this 4hr Workshop ‘Professional Advocate Basic Supervision Skills Masterclass’, which can be delivered in person or online, to enhance your confidence in supervision and coaching.
This workshop is aimed at Professional Advocates who have left their training feeling unconfident in some of the basic skills of supervision.
The workshop is highly practical, including live demonstration of skills. There will be multiple opportunities to learn/practice:

➡️ How to ask effective open questions.
➡️ How to practice and use empathy.
➡️ How to use reflections and summaries.
➡️ How to guide people towards solutions rather than problems.

This training is split into four sessions. Each engaging session includes a live expert demonstration plus an opportunity for peer practise in breakout rooms.

Session 3: Helping people to feel safe, seen and heard
Session 4: How to help people get unstuck from their challenges

Dr Nathan Illman
Dr. Nathan Illman is a Clinical Psychologist, Leadership Coach, and Founder of Nurse Wellbeing Mission.
Nathan has been commissioned by NHS Englad five times to design and deliver training to Professional Nurse Advocates. He provides ongoing consultation, CPD and support to Professional Advocatess across various organizations.
Nathan has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by healthcare professionals, blending psychological expertise with practical tools to create transformative training experiences. His workshops are restorative, inspiring, and actionable.

Dr Nathan Illman
Nathan is a Clinical Psychologist and coach who works exclusively with nurses and midwives. He regularly provides individual and group supervision and coaching, specialising in compassion-focussed interventions. In this workshop he will draw on his varied clinical and training experience to bring you a lively, thought-provoking and confidence-boosting event.
